As it is cake month I can say that I’ve had a few parties.

One of the house’s cleaners was a great cake maker so we had a range of nice cakes.

Recently…well, my birthday is always at a weird time being the end of May. End of term. People had places to be.

Also people keep ending up in hospital or getting hurt.

Let’s see how this month works out!

I think my favourite camp tale is my First Year where we were at Glade to perform ‘Street Performance’.

The festival goers were all too p*ssed out of the gourds to care.

The most luck we had was wearing blank mask with glowstick through the eyes. We’d twitch and jolt. Scare the poor creatures.

Mostly it rained and we stayed in the massive tent and cooked and sung. It was nice.

The festival wouldn’t shut up until dawn so sleep was not worth attempting. Not to mention we had little in the way of food.

By the end we were tired and smelly and muddy.

Some might find that fun.

Luckily our rescue van had bacon sandwiches.

We would do our best to fly a kite in the grounds of the school.

Also did some on Portsmouth Common.

Don’t remember much luck due to not having much wind.

Was fun to run and throw the kite up. Less so to watch it spin down ten seconds later.

Not being the best on me pins I don’t really skate nowadays but I had some Fisher Price skates when I was young.

We would go and skate around the tennis courts. (Same place I learnt to ride a bike. I’ll tell that tale if there is a bike badge.)

For my Media Studies class I made a video for They Might Be Giant’s Experimental Film.

I kinda of wish I knew where the DVD was because I ended up attacking a watermelon with a hammer, got attacked by my friends AND defaced various locations with chalk.

It also ended up with my American Beauty moment as I chased after a plastic bag.

It was fun!

I’ve played a bit of chess in my time. My father’s father is an award winning player so there is that side.

Went on one at Kingston Lacey and there was one at a Scandinavian village where the tourists followed after us like dogs, all wanting a ride in the buggy.

I had fish when I was a child.

One killed itself by jumping out the bowl and the rest were killed when washing up liquid was poured into the fountain.

My father also maintains that animals should not live alongside people.

My mother’s Biology department had a cornsnake named David.(We know him as Californian Corn snake but that doesn’t seem to be a type.)

i used to ride at school.

One time my horse bolted and the instructor grabbed at the reins. I was thrown eventually and it turns out that the instructor had broken her arm.

I didn’t ride much after that.

When I was in the boarding house the new girls would be taken to Longlet.

We would get to ride in the bus through the monkey enclosure and have to convince the girls not to open the window to feed the animals. It was fun to watch the small cars have their wing mirrors and ariels pulled from the cars.

It seems better than a more zoo-ish zoo

Going back to the summer camps held in the grounds of the school there would be a part of it where we would camp.

There was one trip where we near the lake and one of the fun things to do was go fishing.

The rods were: 1 piece of bamboo, 1 piece of string, 1 paperclip. No bait.

I guess they really didn’t want us to catch anything but we tried,

I think the effort involves me getting a badge.

SIDENOTE: The same trip I lost my spoon and eat fruit salad with a fork.
